Let’s take a quick look at some of the cosmetic treatments that can transform your smile, along with some of their associated facts &/or statistics. And if anything peaks your imagination, let us know. We’ll answer your questions, and together, we’ll make decisions to best suit your unique smile.
- Teeth Whitening – People who have teeth whitening are about 58% more likely to get a job offer.
- Crowns – Just one missing tooth can adversely affect the function and appearance of your smile.
- Crown & Bridge – While the longevity of a crown & bridge depends on many things, we’ve seen some patients whose restorations last upwards of 20 years, sometimes longer!
- Veneers – The New York Times reported that veneers meet the needs of dental patients who want a restoration that “looks inconspicuously better than the real thing.”
- White Fillings – Statistics show that white fillings are winning the race against silver-colored amalgam fillings because of their natural appearance that doesn’t advertise dental work.
- Cosmetic Dentistry – More than 99% of people think that an attractive smile is a valuable social asset.

Dr. Paul Dhillon
Dr. Paul Dhillon with his family
Originally from India, Dr. Dhillon came to Canada at the age of 13. He received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Manipal University, India in 2009, then received his National Dental Examination Board of Canada's certification in 2014.
When he was a Certified Dental Assistant, Dr. Dhillon was enthralled by how patients would tell the dentist that their outlook on life had changed because of the care they received. This was the moment he knew he wanted to become a dentist. Delivering an excellent patient experience is important to him, and in every case, he is driven by the end goal. “It’s extremely rewarding when a patient appreciates my work and they have new-found confidence,” he says.
Outside The Office
When he’s not using his skills to improve smiles, Dr. Dhillon enjoys working out (and flexing his biceps from time to time!), travelling, and spending quality time with his wife Raman and their three girls. Hawaii is his favourite tropical destination. He regularly gives back by lending his time to provide dental care to those in need.
Dr. Marcus Lo
Dr. Lo was born in Hong Kong and moved to Vancouver at a young age. Having always dreamed of working in healthcare, Dr. Lo completed his BSc in Pharmacology in 2013 and DMD in 2018. Dr. Lo has received several awards among which are Dr. Irving E. Snider Prize, Dr Bud Sipko Family Fund Scholarship 2016, NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Award, UBC Dean's Honour List, President's Entrance Scholarship 2008, UBC Trek Excellence Scholarship.
As a general dentist, Dr. Lo’s main goal is to provide quality care to his patients. He is committed to educating each person in his chair about their oral health and providing solutions in a comfortable environment. He has a passion for oral surgery.
Outside The Office
Dr. Lo is a firm believer in evidence-based dentistry, and, in order to provide the best care possible, stays abreast of current literature and technologies. In addition, Dr. Lo likes to give back by regularly volunteering at local dental events and going on multiple mission trips abroad. “I went on a dental mission trip to Jamaica to provide extractions to the underserved population,” he says. As for his favourite pastimes, Dr. Lo enjoys skiing, volleyball, and badminton.
